ICM
serves 100 - 150 families each day, six days a week. The people drifting in to ICM
are desperate: some are unable to work, others are too proud not to work, but
they make minimum wage. Sometimes they apologize for their circumstances.
Sometimes they are humiliated or scared.
ICM appreciates your financial contributions. You can donate
on this page! Financial contributions help us keep the lights on, the truck
running and the staff paid. We also appreciate material goods to keep ICM
stocked for clients. We gladly accept:
-
Non-perishable food items (examples: peanut butter, rice, beans, soup)
-
New or used clothing, shoes, socks, and all other clothing articles for women,
men and children ( We especially run short of children’s and men’s clothing and
shoes)
-
Small household items such as dishes, pots, and linens
-
Toiletries (Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, body wash, laundry detergent,
deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes.
-
Baby Items (Diapers - sizes 1-5, pull-ups, formula, baby food, baby cereal)
Consider giving a monthly financial gift to ICM when you pay your bills. Some
give $20 a month, others give $100.
The Board and Staff at ICM are committed to the idea that this agency will be
around for many years to come. If you share our views, we have begun a Planned
Giving Program, where donors can plan the way they give to ICM, and even
include ICM in their wills and trusts.

Janie’s
Family came to ICM after her water had been shut off. She is raising four
children by herself, and being a good mother, she had found a kind neighbor who
would allow her to take buckets of water to her apartment.
Janie
was working for a manufacturing plant and they reduced her hours
in November and December, then laid her off in January. ICM paid her
water bill, loaded her up with food for the family, and helped her shop for
warm clothes in our clothing boutique. We also put her into a group of
job seekers right on site.
